LiftPort Lift Tickets are now available in the LiftPort Store ! The #1 ticket is up for auction on E-Bay - your chance to own a piece of history!

On this date in 1949, a V-2 rocket mated with a WAC Corporal launched itself into what was then considered to be "outer space". It was the first manmade object to reach "outer space" by the definition that existed before the mid 1950s.  The LiftPort Group is working on opening up outer space to everyone . The V-2 rocket cost over $17,000 in the 1940s even though it used slave labor to build it. Today's rocket launches cost tens of thousands per pound to launch into orbit. The LiftPort Space Elevator is targeted to do it for $400 per pound ($881/kg).

To improve public awareness of the future costs of space launch, we have produced 1 Ounce Lift Tickets  To Space . These Lift Tickets are done in an old train style, commemorating the last time a major infrastructure project connected a new frontier. The picture is the Mir Space Station, the station that still holds the record for the longest continuous human presence in space. Mir also represented the earliest foray of private industry to bringing paying individuals to an orbital facility, lighting the spark for the X-Prize and the myriad of commercial ventures attempting to enter that frontier.

These collectible Lift Tickets are numbered in gold foil, printed on secure paper and employ several patented anti-counterfeiting methods. The ticket comes with a custom image designed by Nyein Aung and is protected in a mount designed for collectibles.

The 1st Ticket in this series is available on e-bay in a museum quality frame with museum glass. This is your chance to own history in the making.
