Email from a friend, regarding the Slashdot mess.

:-)  Yup.  But ya know what they say - there is no such thing as bad press…  and we have actually gotten some strong support, even with our current mess.

I was reading all the press releases and your rebuttal on slahsdot. Now I understand why you have been in a bad mood (your words).

Yup… and that bad mood lasted for a few months.  I am really snapping out of it now.  I’ve got a plan, and it’s working, so I feel much better.  Those Slashdotters are gonna slam anything with hope and a vision of the future…  I don’t really care about them.  However, I was strongly surprised when we got some support from a few of them.  So, I guess that means ‘ya never know’…  something good might come from it, after all.

I have to say that I am not suprised, but I am disappointed. Because I know how much you want this.

I want this more than I have ever wanted anything before.  And I have no doubt that I am on the right path.  So, don’t worry about it.  I don’t.

But I’m not counting you out.

I know.  :-)  It is a cliché, but you really do learn who your friends are, when things are going wrong.  Thanks for the continued support.  I know I can count on you.

Like I said a few conversations back your resourceful and will find a way through it.

I always do…

If you need to talk you know the number.

Endless phone tag…  will keep trying.

I might not be the <snip, for personal reasons> but I’m a good listener.

<snip>…  As for being a good listener, you are one of the few people I can talk to for an hour… <snip> So ya, I know you are a good listener, but you also have something interesting to SAY, too.

Take care.  Mjl

Well, I have to say you are the shot heard around the world.

Reminds of the plans that NASA had in the early 60s to test Gemini by launching a modified capsule that would hold five cattle.

Yep - it would have been the herd shot ’round the world.
