International Public Inclusion Policy

What is International Public Inclusion (IPI)?

  1. International Public Inclusion is exactly what it sounds like: an invitation to every human being to participate in the development of the Space Elevator in some manner. The Space Elevator is a tremendous project that will have an impact on the entire planet, not just the United States. While the project will be led by our US company, LiftPort Group feels humanity as a whole has a right to be involved in such a project. In order to provide as much benefit as possible from the Space Elevator, LiftPort Group would like to see many individual, academic, governmental, non-governmental, and corporate entities get involved.
  2. LiftPort Group is dedicated to providing a venue to facilitate its policy of IPI via the LiftPort Group website (www.liftport.com). By offering such a forum, certain technical, legal, business, and philosophical challenges may be addressed before they become problems. LiftPort Group will create an international public dialogue through our online interactions and will also begin compiling information and archives detailing the development of the Space Elevator.

Why International Public Inclusion?

  1. LiftPort Group has adopted a policy of International Public Inclusion to accumulate popular and political support for the Space Elevator. The Space Elevator will have to overcome many challenges (financial, technical, legal, political and more) in order to be successful. Having substantial international support will ease these challenges.
  2. A critical component of constructing the Space Elevator will be LiftPort Group’s ability to operate in international sea and in orbit. IPI Policy will aid LiftPort Group greatly in these areas.
  3. Most importantly, having a policy of International Public Inclusion allows for active participation amongst all countries and cooperation between developed and developing nations. This will help to ensure that safe, cheap and reliable access to space will be open to all.

How will LiftPort Group implement its policy of International Public Inclusion?

  1. Website Communication - LiftPort Group will mainly utilize the Internet and its website to allow for communication amongst all those interested in the Space Elevator. LiftPort Group staff will also use the website to communicate with the world about Space Elevator progress. Included on this website are forums, chat rooms, posted research, and in-depth expanded FAQ‘s.   2. Media - LiftPort Group will use all forms of media to publicize the Space Elevator including, but not limited to, periodicals, books, DVDs, educational material and museum exhibits.
  3. Academic and Business Partnerships - LiftPort Group will seek partnerships with nonprofit and for-profit entities in order to allow more individuals share in the physical research, development and construction of the Space Elevator.
