More Accounting + Budgets, and (maybe!) Two Experts Join the Team

oday was the kind of day I hoped it would be! I spent the morning working on the accounting and budgeting. It’s a two-part process; I have to review the paperwork and notes, and receipts of the past several year. Then, I need to figure out the budget for the upcoming years. Sounds dull, because it is dull. It’s also a lot more challenging than I’d like it to be. I’ve moved four times and had three different checking accounts since I restarted LiftPort. I aim to have part of it done after the holiday weekend. Can’t say how long the second part will take. At a minimum, it will take a couple weeks. As I said yesterday, I’ll share the results.

But that’s not the important aspect of the day. What was important was the three hours I spent with Dr. Lynette, and the two hours with the attorney, Arthur. The meeting between the three of us went well. They like each other, and like our project. Verbally, they agreed to work together on a big project. They each have to get permissions from their ‘higher-ups’, but assuming they get that, then I’ll release some more information about them.

I am very happy today. Even though this isn’t the kind of update a lot of you want… it is an important one. It means there is a path forward for this larger project of the Lunar Space Elevator Infrastructure AND a path forward for your rewards. I’ll share more once I’ve got permissions and contracts signed.
